The federal government as well as the provincial governments have different immigration programs for people seeking to visit, remain in, or immigrate permanently or temporarily to Canada. However, even those aliens that have been selected by a province, including Quebec, must be admitted by the Federal Government in order to be able to come, visit, stay or remain in Canada.
